Trailer Hopping : Twilight Ends With A Bang
The grand finale of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 appears to be about a war of the few against an army of many. Although completely different from the book and lacking in romance and mushy love stories of the other Twilight movies, the trailer looks like entertaining, fast pace action of an epic battle between the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi.
Is the Twilight Saga jumping on the bandwagon of all these super hero movies and creating one of their own, hoping to cash in on some of the action? After watching the trailer, it does appear that this movie was created for pure Hollywood profit making. There seemed to be no reason that the last book needed to be two movies if Breaking Dawn Part 2 has very little resemblance to the book. The ending to the book was a “that’s it?” moment of a peaceful happily ever after without raging war, while the trailer is showcasing an ending with a much louder bang.
Music seems to be the driving force, with its rising crescendo and intensifying drum beats matching conversations and actions in the trailer. The music is aligned perfectly with each scene, such as the wolves’ growls, emphasizing sentences pertaining to death and punishments, doors opening to the music and supernatural powers performed to the music.
Most of the scenes lead up to the battle scene except one. The trailer should show Bella telling Renesmee that she’ll “never let anyone hurt you” towards the beginning of the trailer and then show the collection of allies to help fight against the Volturi.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 appears to be a thoughtless and fun movie filled with action and adventure without too many complicated twists, turns and love triangles.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is scheduled to open on November 16, 2012. The stars the same cast throughout most of the Twilight series: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Maggie Grace, Dakota Fanning, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen, JD Pardo, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Mackenzie Foy and Jamie Campbell Bower.
