Trailer Hopping : Stallone's Bullet to the Head Is Dry Action
Bullet to the Head trailer is an action film starring Sylvester Stallone as a hitman and Sung Kang as a police detective, partnering to seek revenge on the death of their partners. It seems like all the “good” characters from the Expendables are starring in an action movie, with very similar and straight-forward story lines about seeking revenge or redemption or saving the princess. Stallone’s film combines all three storylines into one not very interesting movie.
Nothing new or exciting except for a couple of grin worthy lines. The rest of the dialogue is bland and cliché, like referring to Stallone’s hitman job as removing “hard to get at stain”, or as “problem solver”, or being a “people person”. They had some age jokes about not making records anymore and the music being outdated. There was some race jokes or Asians being martial artists “bring us some kung-fu back from the mainland. Sung Kang’s Detective Taylor responds with “I was born in Florida.”
The trailer is as dry and emotionless as Stallone’s expressions. Age seemed to have made Stallone nonchalant and very matter-of-fact. He did not display much emotion when he told his daughter that his partner was killed. He has no fear or worries in this movie. In fact, he may be void of emotion – just a mean fighting machine.
Bullet to the Head has a lot of gun shots and explosions but not many good hand combat scenes. The trailer shows scenes of exploding buildings and cars. In terms of man to man combat, there were some body slamming, foot stomping and fist throwing but nothing too adventurous or interesting. Overall, the film did not try any new action territory or invent any created ways of destroying the bad guys.
Bullet to the Head is an action film about a hitman who teams up with a detective to avenge the death of their partners. The action has no fancy fanfare and the story is just as simple and straight-forward.
Bullet to the Head is scheduled to open on February 1, 2013. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Sung Kang, Sarah Shahi, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jason Momoa, Christian Slater, Jon Seda, Holt McCallany, Brian Van Holt, Weronika Rosati, Dane Rhodes, Marcus Lyle Brown and other cast members.
