Trailer Hopping : Hunger Games - Full Trailer
1.2.12 - Full Trailer Review:
This trailer is a great introduction to the Hunger Games series. It gives a simple storyline summary of the movie, main characters and ends with the action sequences to come. It shows the game’s selection process, the training that took place between those who should win, and the live televised events for all to see. You can also foresee a love triangle between Katniss, Josh Hutcherson’s and Liam Hemsworth’s characters. Then, comes the real fun, the battle scenes. What feels a little cheeky and overdone is the contrast of the woman reading the names, in her hot pink suit and clown make-up, and the rest of the district citizens.
The first of three or four or five, depending on how well the first one does, Hunger Games movies will open on March 23, 2012. It stars Jennifer Lawrence from Winter’s Bones as Katniss who volunteers to take her younger sister’s place as the district representative in the annual death matches. A boy and a girl are selected from each of the twelve districts, totaling 24 teenagers (ages 12-18) who will fight until there is only one left standing.
10.1.11 Teaser Trailer Review:
Although I have not read the books, I am anticipating this movie with intense hunger. The trailer is a minute of obscurity, showcasing the heroine with a bow and arrow in some lush forest. It says nothing interesting, except that it's very expensive cinematography and you're going to watch it anyway. So, what does it matter what they show you? It doesn't even matter if it's the American version of Battle Royale, or a children's version of The Most Dangerous Game; a popular book series about hot teenagers and love triangles will still be a box office hit.
