Trailer Hopping : Brave
Not the best trailer by any means, nor the most anticipated animation of 2012. The trailer showcased random bits and pieces of action and adventure with no sense of purpose or story. The fast-paced, racing music did not capture the mood of the scenes. I could not decipher anymore from the trailer other than it was about a princess with luminous red hair who looked a little like strawberry shortcake with extra curls. They tried too many new things at once: a female lead; a Scottish (non-American) accent that I could barely understand; and abandoned the fairy tale prince charming in a princess story. The trailer was too dark and serious for a Pixar film. There wasn't a vibrant color in sight besides the princess' hair. Can't see this movie being a hit, although a lot of little girls would love a Merida doll to comb that abundant red hair.
