'Undercover Brother' Director Malcolm Lee Will Direct 'Scary Movie 5'

I honestly thought they were done with this franchise, but it appears that the Scary Movie series is still going strong. Entertainment Weekly reports that director Malcolm Lee, Spike Lee's cousin, is going to be behind the camera for the next installment of the long-running spoof franchise. Malcolm has directed a few films before, notably Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce, and his most recent effort, 2008's Soul Men.

We bitch and complain that Hollywood keeps making unneeded remakes and sequels but, I think we can all agree, Scary Movie 5 is a home run. Those last three films were just so clever and funny and didn’t at all begin a trend of some of the worst movies in recently memory like Epic Movie and Superhero Movie.
