Warner Bros. Reveals Massive Plans for DC, 'Harry Potter,' Lego Franchises

We knew Warner Bros. execs had big things in store for fans of its DC properties, as well as visions of a new franchise for its Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but the studio dropped some major news regarding scheduling for those titles -- as well as its plans for more Lego movies -- during a shareholders meeting today.


Zack Snyder Set to Direct JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE and JUSTICE LEAGUE PART TWO; Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams Locked to Return for PART ONE – The Warner Bros. and DC news continues to pour in. As expected, the superhero news is starting to fly (ha!) out of Comic-Con, and some of the earliest comes from Zack Snyder, who tweeted the first official image of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just as Warner Bros. was unveiling a brief teaser showing Batman (Ben Affleck) engaging in a long-distance staring contest with Superman (Henry Cavill).

Just in case you're still holding out hope that the folks at Warner Bros. might be falling out of love with Zack Snyder after the mixed reviews that greeted Man of Steel, now might be the time to find a new cause to champion. According to the Wall Street Journal, Snyder already has his next DC-derived gig lined up after the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, and it'll be -- you guessed it -- a Justice League movie.

We already knew Marvel had shifted into gear on a third Captain America movie, bringing back the franchise's current directing team, Joe and Anthony Russo, to work their magic on the next installment in the series. But now that Captain America: The Winter Soldier has opened to a massive two-week worldwide gross of $303 million, the studio has dropped another card on the table, dating Captain America 3 for May 6, 2016.

Goyer On SUPERMAN/BATMAN; Says They're "Further Along Than People Realize" – Every fan has an opinion on how Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman VS Superman themed sequel to Man Of Steel should be handled, but does what any of us think really matter to those that are actually making the movie?
