'Star Wars: Episode VII' Adds Christina Chong

For a film that initially looked to be something of a sausage fest, Star Wars: Episode VII is shaping up to be a rather distaff-friendly slice of sci-fi. In the latest of several recent casting announcements, British actress Christina Chong has been added to the mix. Chong joins a growing list of new faces in the upcoming sequel, including Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, and Crystal Clarke; her recent credits include an appearance in the Fox miniseries 24:

Who needs to wait for May the 4th when you can just go ahead and surprise everybody with an announcement on April 29? Following months of rumors and ever-more-deafening buzz, Disney has revealed the main cast for Star Wars: Episode VII -- and just like studio chief Bob Iger promised, it does indeed include a mix of new and familiar faces.
