If This Is Famous is correct, Ethan Hawke, not Joaquin Phoenix, will be playing the titular character in Marvel's Doctor Strange. Hawke has reportedly accepted the role over the weekend and is now in contract talks. *Update* Deadline reports that Hawke getting the part is just pure speculation.

Ethan Hawke Reportedly Up For Doctor Strange – Marvel has been courting Joaquin Phoenix to take the title role in the upcoming Doctor Strange film since before San Diego Comic-Con, but have had quite a bit of trouble getting the three-time Academy Award nominee to sign on the dotted line.
