First Look: Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Cast Suits Up For Zombie Heist Thriller Director Zack Snyder has a presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, even though the filmmaker himself isn’t attending the convention. Some of his fans have organized an effort to convince Warner Bros. to release the Snyder Cut of Justice League, going as far as to hire a plane to fly over the convention center with that messaging on it yesterday. Snyder himself isn’t there to see this support in person – instead, he’s off shooting his next movie, a zombie thriller called Army of the Dead.

Zack Snyder could not attend this year's San Diego Comic-Con since he is busy working on Army of the Dead.

Stuber Trailer Takes Dave Bautista & Kumail Nanjiani on a Wild Ride A cop takes an Uber driver on a ride he'll never forget in the upcoming 20th Century Fox comedy Stuber, which arrives in theaters this summer.

Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Enlists Dave Bautista Dave Bautista couldn’t be happier that James Gunn is getting back behind the camera for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after Disney reversed their decision to fire the director of the cosmic Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. But before he reprises the role of Drax the Destroyer, the wrestler turned actor will be working with another superhero filmmaker. Dave Bautsita has joined the cast of Army of the Dead, the first directing gig for Zack Snyder after departing Justice League in the middle of post-production due to a family tragedy.

"Zombie Fight Club"
Situated just a block away from the “Kung Fu Jungle” (aka “Kung Fu Killer”) booth in the Filmart was a booth for a film intriguingly titled “Zombie Fight Club.” How can I not be interested enough to at least take a peek?

Fruit Chan's "The Midnight After"
There are movie fanboys, celebrity obsessed fans, and then there are people like me who love a great movie and the wonderful actors in them, yet lack the enthusiasm to enjoy the rare one on one encounter with a high profile celebrity. World War Z
We've seen so many zombie movies at this point that the only way to add anything new to the genre is to approach it from a truly ridiculous angle (see: Warm Bodies). According to Isaac Marion's book, the zombie apocalypse is the result of pervasive, crushing ennui. It’s only hinted at momentarily in the film (distracted holiday travelers bump into each other, absorbed by their smartphones) but in the book, the cause is reportedly clear…and seems a bit too fanciful to tip the scales of truth, justice, light and humanity.
