The Raid Star Joins Star Trek Beyond Joe Taslim, star of The Raid and Fast & Furious 6 has been cast in the upcoming Star Trek Beyond. He will be reuniting with director Justin Lin and joining new cast members Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella along with the existing crew of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban and John Cho. It’s believed that Taslim will play opposite Elba who is most likely the films bad guy. Star Trek Beyond is filming now for a July 8th, 2016 release. 'Star Trek 3': Filming, Controversy, and Fat Paychecks At this point, it's widely known that Star Trek 3 has begun filming in Vancouver. Stars Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana have stated as much in recent posts to Intstagram and Twitter, respectively. But that doesn't mean that filming is going smoothly. As with much of the pre-production that went into this film, the Trek crew and Paramount Pictures are facing adversity.There's a portion of Stawamus Chief Provincial Park that's being used for a sequence in the film that's bringing the wrong kind of attention to the production.

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the Hitman film reboot Agent 47 is getting a prequel comic book courtesy of Boom! Studios.From THR:"Agent 47 hunting a deadly adversary in a story that leads directly into the opening scene of the feature film. This marks the first time the character will appear in a comic." The new film stars Rupert Friend as Agent 47, with Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware rounding out the supporting cast. Hitman: Agent 47 hits theatres August 28, 2015. SOURCE: THR

Back in mid-August, writer/director Roberto Orci announced that the first draft of Star Trek 3, which he is is overseeing with writers Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne, had been completed. Now, Zachary Quinto has come forward to reveal that the sci-fi franchise sequel will begin shooting sometime in the next six months, with a likely spring start date being planned.Zachary Quinto recently appeared on NBC's Today show, where he was asked about Star Trek 3. Agent 47 Cast Talks Paul Walker Tragedy And Stunts At Comic-Con

Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware were at San Diego Comic-Con presenting the movie Agent 47, a reboot of the Hitman franchise that was previously made into a film starring Timothy Olyphant. The late Paul Walker was set to star as Agent 47 before his death in November. Rupert Friend was not in San Diego to discuss his title role, but Quinto spoke elegantly about the memory of Walker.
