In a shareholders meeting early this week, Warner Bros. has revealed its slate of tentpoles in the coming years, and, as expected, it's heavy on superhero movies. Robert Downey Jr. will join Chris Evans in Captain America 3, which will kick off the Civil War storyline.

Sony is developing a series of movies centered on Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Seems like "universe" and "Avengers" are two of the keywords studios are looking for when deciding which projects to produce. The female-led Ghostbusters reboot is a go. Paul Feig will write the script with his collaborator on The Heat, Katie Dippold.

Fox has finally given the green light to that long gestating Deadpool movie, but the studio is apparently not that high on it since it is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2016. Speaking of Fox, the studio has pulled Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed from it's 2015 release slate and has replaced it with The Fantastic Four reboot.

Top Gun 2 is back on at Paramount. The studio has hired Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li's Justin Marks to work on the script. The 22 Jump Street sequel is a go, with Rodney Rothman writing the script. No word if Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return to direct.

After taking a short break to allow Harrison Ford to heal up, Star Wars: Episode VII has resumed production, and the movie still expected to make its release date on December 18, 2015.

There will indeed be an Aquaman movie, and Warner Bros. has set Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad to work on competing scripts. Bad Boys 3 is about to get real, according to Martin Lawrence. He said the script is "getting close, and it all looks good."

Dan Aykroyd continues to hold out hope for Ghostbusters 3, but there's word now that Sony may have given up on the movie and will instead go with a reboot. The studio is reportedly courting Paul Feig to direct and produce this redo.

Warner Bros. has announced the formation of the Harry Potter Global Franchise Development Team to deal with all things Harry Potter. Yes, that includes more movies.
