Paul Walker in "Furious 7"
First things first: Paul Walker would be proud of this. It’s an action franchise that will please its huge and ever-growing fanbase. He gets to go two rounds with Thai martial arts star Tony Jaa and gets the last laugh. Not a bad way to go. Overall, Walker’s scenes are quite seamless.

Morgan Freeman
Anyone who's been paying even the slightest bit of attention to Family Guy over the last 11 seasons knows that Seth MacFarlane seems to have a fairly incredible knack for getting surprising people to take part in his funny games -- and now we can add Morgan Freeman to that list, because Freeman has apparently just signed on for a role in Ted 2.

Seventh Son
It's been bumped so many times that we'd honestly kind of forgotten it hadn't actually come out, but no -- Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore's The Seventh Son is still on the Universal schedule, where it's currently slated to come out on (long pause) February 6, 2015.

7th Chucky Film In The Works, Cast Returning

11:43 PM 6/29/2014 by Fred Topel
It took 25 years for all six Chucky films to come together in one collection. When they finally did, they won the Saturn Award for Best DVD/BD Collection Release. Of course, Chucky: The Complete Collection was the first time the latest film, Curse of Chucky, was available at all. The straight to video entry was so successful, that Chucky creator Don Mancini confirms he is writing a seventh. “I’m in the middle of it,” Mancini said the night of the Saturn Awards.

Jurassic Park 4
The Wolverine was nominated for a Saturn Award by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, though it lost to Iron Man 3 for Best Comic-to-Film Motion Picture. Representing The Wolverine, Brian Tee walked the red carpet where I asked him about his upcoming role in Jurassic World. “I get to be another badass,” Tee said.

Seth Rogen's on a Roll: "Neighbors" Scores Fresh 74% on Rotten Tomatoes

Seth Rogen and Zac Efron in "Neighbors"
Following the critical and commercial success of “This is the End,” Seth Rogen returns with another raunchy comedy “Neighbors.” This time, instead of fighting zombies, his character battles a bunch of frat boys -- played by Zac Efron and Dave Franco among others -- who turns the house next to his into a frat house. That wouldn’t be too bad if Rogen’s character and his wife, played by “Bridesmaids’” Rose Byrne, didn’t have a newborn to take care of.

Universal Already Thinking About 'Jurassic World' Sequels

10:30 AM 4/23/2014 by Jeff Giles
Jurassic World
It's been quite awhile since the original Jurassic Park trilogy stomped into cineplexes, but Universal never really gave up on the franchise, they just had a hard time settling on a direction after the third installment. Now that director Colin Trevorrow is resuscitating the series with the upcoming Jurassic World, it comes as little to no surprise that the studio is already kicking around ideas for more movies.

Review: 'A Birder's Guide to Everything' Sings Sweet

Birder's Guide
Depending who you ask, there are anywhere between one and 36 basic plots in all of human storytelling, although screenwriters tend to lean on some more than others. The coming-of-age dramedy is one particularly well-worn example, second perhaps only to the sports drama in terms of the reliable familiarity of its basic narrative contours (as well as its effectiveness in the right hands).

Vincent D'Onofrio
We may not know what Jurassic World's plot holds in store for us, but director Colin Trevorrow does, and he's busy assembling a fairly impressive cast to bring the long-delayed sequel to life. His latest addition? Vincent D'Onofrio.

Ride Along
In the five weeks since it hit theaters, the Ice Cube-Kevin Hart comedy Ride Along has grossed nearly $120 million against a $25 million budget, and you know what that means: Universal wants a sequel. In fact, the studio started moving on a follow-up last year, when it signed Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi to write a script, but now Variety reports they've started making deals with the on-screen talent.
