Finding Dory Image Introduces Ty Burrell & Kaitlin Olson’s Characters It’s been a while since Ellen DeGeneres had a film role of any sort. The wildly popular comedian and actress has been busy heightening her profile via her daytime talk show for numerous years now, achieving household name status and packing her mantle with Emmy awards. At the same time, DeGeneres has managed a guest appearance here and there on the odd TV series, but nothing that drew audiences into movie theaters. The last time that DeGeneres did in fact, appear on the big screen it was via voice only, in Pixar’s 2003 smash-hit, Finding Nemo.

Muppets Most Wanted
This weekend sees the debut of two big-name releases in theaters, hopefully providing a relief form the seemingly endless stream of mediocre releases that have been plaguing the box office the past few weeks. Looking at the critics’ reviews, one of these releases might deliver, while the other follows the lackluster trend.

Rather than the overall cinematic disappointment of the two previous weekends, this batch of new releases offers something a little better—a mixed bag. There is one certified “fresh” release, so that’s something, at least.

Muppets Most Wanted
Filmmaking is an intensely collaborative process, fraught with creative peril at every step, and even the surest-seeming projects can go irreparably awry at any one of a thousand different steps of the journey from pitch to screen. All that being said, Disney is basically shooting fish in a barrel with 'Muppets Most Wanted'; the franchise's fanbase is still riding a euphoric high after the characters' long-overdue return in 2011's 'The Muppets,' and it's going to be difficult for anything short of a total disaster to put a major dent in it.

Somebody's Getting Married! Miss Piggy to Wed in 'The Muppets…Again!'

feedproxy.google.com – Kermit and Miss Piggy famously got married in Muppets Take Manhattan (sing-along here), and according to /film, at least one of them will be walking down the aisle in The Muppets…Again. At this point, it’s pretty clear that the individual movies don’t bow down to any sort of consistent canon, although the Jason Segal-starring adventure that brought them back to movie life saw Kermit and Miss Piggy dealing with some relationship strife so the progression here makes modern sense. 4 years 44 weeks ago via brucelee
