Transformers: Age of Extinction
With the explosive debut this film made in the box office last weekend, and considering the lackluster round of new releases that entered theaters this weekend, it comes as little surprise that Transformers: Age of Extinction, as poorly rated as it was, was able to keep its spot at the top of the charts easily.

Box Office Results: New Movies Overshadowed by Transformers Any proof that this year's summer box office has been faltering only has to look at this year's 4th of July offerings which seemed rather weak compared to past years when franchise like "Transformers" and "Spider-Man" dominated. BOX OFFICE: TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION Passes $400 Million Worldwide Transformers: Age of Extinction has now passed $400 million at the worldwide box office, with over $128 million domestically and $284 million overseas for a total of $412 million. Though it looks set to be the lowest grossing instalment in the franchise in North America, it will likely be the highest grossing Transformers movie to date internationally. China has contributed a huge amount to these numbers as it opened bigger there than domestically.
