The first rule of sequels is that you have to make everything bigger (as well as better, if you can help it), so we kind of figured Marvel had some pretty heavy stuff in store for the God of Thunder in Thor: The Dark World. And now, thanks to executive producer Craig Kyle, we have a clearer idea of what he'll be up against.

'The Avengers' Goes Even Wider For Labor Day Weekend – Marvel’s The Avengers will try to raise its gross tally by expanding to about 1,700 theaters on Labor Day weekend, its 18th week of domestic release. The worldwide gross is nearly $1.5 billion, already making it the third biggest grossing film ever. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Plays Dark Elf in 'Thor: The Dark World'

British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is playing one of the lead villains in Marvel's Thor: The Dark World, according to Variety. He will play the role of Algrim the Strong, a mighty dark elf warrior who is transformed into the much stronger Kurse after losing a battle to Thor. The other major villains in the movie are Loki and Malekith the Accursed, played by Tom Hiddleston and Christopher Eccleston, respectively.

The Blu-ray and DVD release of The Avengers will be coming our way September 25 in four different packages: from the - disc bare bones movie version to the 10-disc kitchen sink package which includes the superhero movies Marvel had released leading up to The Avengers. With just the single disc version however, we only gets the audio commentary by director Joss Whedon and the featurette “Assembling the Ultimate Team” and nothing else.
