We have three new movies in wide release this Friday: Chronicle, The Woman in Black and Big Miracle.
Chronicle is a found footage Superhero movie about three teenagers who acquired super powers. It is fun and games at first as they play around with their new found powers but things quickly take a turn dark.

With awards season in full swing, audiences have plenty to choose from at the multiplex, whether it be the Oscar contenders they've missed or a solid trio of new releases. We've got a haunted town (The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Ciarán Hinds), a teenage superheroes (Chronicle, starring Dane DeHaan and Alex Russell), and a whale rescue (Big Miracle, starring John Krasinski and Drew Barrymore).

Full marks to the reinvigorated Hammer Films and their upcoming The Woman In Black. It appears they've got something special on their hands here and all involved from the producers right down to the local distributors - that would be CBS Films in North America - are doing one hell of a job in leveraging the name value of their star Daniel Radcliffe while also proving to the audience at large that Radcliffe ain't Harry Potter any more.
