The Three Stooges
The Three Stooges is a passion project for Peter and Bobby Farrelly and in order to get it made, they essentially worked for free. Any compensation they will receive will have come from a backend deal, and depending on how that is structured, it's possible for them to see little to no money.

FIRST BOX OFFICE: 'Stooges' Overperforms For No. 1 Friday Knocking Off 'Hunger Games'; 'Cabin In The Woods' On Target – FRIDAY 3 PM: Strong matinees are helping Twentieth Century Fox newcomer The Three Stooges to overperform at the North American box office and take down Lionsgate’s juggernaut The Hunger Games on its 4th weekend in release. The Farrelly Brothers comedy was #1 for the matinees and is looking like #1 for the day. 8 years 41 weeks ago via jackiechan

Critics Consensus: The Three Stooges Is Sometimes Funny, Sometimes Un-Soiten – This weekend at the multiplex, we've got two Howards and a Fine (the Farrelly Brothers' adaptation of "The Three Stooges"), a spooky rural dwelling ("The Cabin in the Woods," written by cult-favorite Joss Whedon), and an outer space prison riot ("Lockout," starring Guy Pearce). If anyone could update the Three Stooges' brand of violently stoopid slapstick for the 21st century, it would be the Farrelly Brothers. 8 years 41 weeks ago via jetli

Picture Steve McQueen trying his hand at comedy, and you'll get a better grasp on the shocking lack of laughs on show. 8 years 42 weeks ago via jackiechan

The Three Stooges trailer is a two minute tribute to the black and white originals, showcasing Moe, Larry and Curly’s signature physical comedy and slapstick humor. Although, I’m not certain they can keep an audience entertained for at least an hour and a half with the same repeated physical comedy.   More »
