THE RAID: REDEMPTION to Be Released Unrated on Blu-ray and DVD

The Raid: Redemption – If you missed out on The Raid: Redemption when it was released in theaters earlier this year, then that's too bad because the movie is really entertaining. Usually, films that don't dominate the box office get a pretty bare-bones DVD/Blu-ray release, but Sony Home Entertainment is doing right by Gareth Evans' Indonesian martial arts flick. 7 years 47 weeks ago via jetli

The Raid: Redemption

For a while, martial arts fans were wondering who would take their place when Chan and Li are slowed by age. In 2003, Tony Jaa became an international sensation after the release of “Ong Bak.” Critics compared him to a young Chan, and rightfully so.

The Raid: Redemption
I was hoping the “The Raid: Redemption” would hold up better in wide release. It deserves to be. We don’t get to see enough great martial arts movies in U.S. theaters. Last Friday, it finally opened semi-wide in nearly 900 theaters after a couple weeks in limited release.

Specialty Box Office: Big Debut For "Woman Thou Art Loosed;" "Bully" Expands Nicely With PG-13 – The overwhelming winner amidst a slew of specialty debuts this weekend was Neema Barnette's "Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On the 7th Day." According to estimates provided by Rentrak earlier today, "Loosed" managed to find the best per-theater-average of any film in release, including studio chart topper "The Hunger Games." The Hunger Games
You know a movie is going to be big when the other major studios let it have a date all by itself. That's the situation Lionsgate's The Hunger Games finds itself this weekend.

Critics Consensus: The Hunger Games is Certified Fresh – This week at the movies brings only one new wide release: the hotly-anticipated adaptation of Susan Collins' post-apocalyptic young adult novel The Hunger Games, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. What do the critics have to say? The Hunger Games is one of the most eagerly anticipated literary adaptations since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. 8 years 10 weeks ago via jetli
