Although “American Sniper” broke another record during the Super Bowl weekend, we discuss why there was such a steep dropoff after a very good hold during the previous weekend. “Paddington” held up well, compared to other films in the top ten. Michael Bay’s found-footage, time-travel film “Project Almanac” disappointed.

In this week’s podcast, Binh and I discuss “American Sniper’s” incredible hold after last week’s record-breaking opening. I talk about Johnny Depp’s schtick*, and we wonder if people are getting tired of it. Although “Paddington” is well-reviewed and doing decent biz at the box office, we drew the line on whether or not it would get a sequel.

'The Loft' Trailer: Pleasure Penthouse Turns Deadly for These Unfaithful Bros We first saw a trailer for ‘The Loft’ way back in 2012, and since then this thriller remake has languished in studio limbo, bouncing from Universal over to Open Road films. Originally slated for a 2014 release, the movie finally has a new release date, hitting theaters in January. Along with the new release date comes a new trailer, in which a group of married dudes buy a loft so they can have affairs on the down low.
