With 2013 nearing an end, it's time to list out our best movies of the year. Without further ado, here is Jeff and Sara's choice for number 10: The Heat. The Heat stars Sandra Bullock as FBI Agent Sarah Ashburn, who has to team up with Melissa McCarthy's foulmouthed and violent Boston cop Shannon Mullins to bring down a drug kingpin.

It seems that ill-contrived, raunchy humor and enormous, juiced-up fighting robots just can’t beat the appeal of a solid animated film—especially when that film is full of the antics of the infamous yellow minions. This weekend, the charts were ruled once again by Despicable Me 2.

These past couple weekends have been dominated by family films—this weekend especially, there was just no contest between the new releases. While both films made it to the top of the charts, one did so easily, and the other is barely clinging to its spot, with holdout films snapping at its heels.

As studio panic sets in and fast-pumped sequels become the rule in Hollywood, first-week grosses are more and more of a determining factor in whether or not we can expect to see a movie's characters return for further installments -- all of which is to say that yes, of course Paul Feig is thinking about where he'll send Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy in The Heat 2.
