The Great Season 2 Trailer: Elle Fanning Has Great Plans For Russia Huzzah! Elle Fanning is returning to liberate the masses! Continuing her reign as Catherine The Great, Fanning is back to lead the second season of Hulu's "anti-historical" comedy, fittingly titled "The Great." As you can expect, there's plenty of talk about coronations, beheading, bloodshed, and winning.

ALL HAIL THE POPCORN KING Trailer: The Great Joe R. Lansdale, Recognized Like a bag of candy that looks good, tastes great, and somehow also improves your mental health, Joe R. Lansdale writes words good. He spins tales that captivate and surprise, whatever their length and form, so it's no wonder that his works served as the source material for great genre screen adaptations, from Don Coscarelli's Bubba Ho-Tep (2002) to Coscarell's Incident On and Off a Mountain Road (2005) to Jim Mickle's Cold in July (2014) to the wonderful series Hap and Leonard (RIP; BTW, Sundance TV will marathon the series, starting on July 6).

The Great arrives on Hulu today, which gives us an excuse to share with you an exclusive track from Nathan Barr‘s score. Barr has composed music for Carnival Row, The Americans, and Hollywood, and the music he’s created for The Great is full of lush orchestrations with a hint of comical playfulness, which is perfect for the show. The Great Soundtrack The Great is a satirical series about the rise of Catherine the Great, as played by Elle Fanning. The show hails from Tony McNamara, writer of The Favourite, and it certainly appears to be in a similar style as that film.

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio were hoping to one day adapt Erik Larson’s fantastic book The Devil in the White City into a feature film, with Scorsese directing, and DiCaprio starring as the notorious H.H. Holmes, thought to be America’s first serial killer. But now, things have changed. Instead of a movie, we’re getting a Devil in the White City Hulu show, and while Scorsese and DiCaprio will still be producing, it’s doubtful their involvement will go much further than that.

Annette Bening To Star In Gillian Armstrong Comedy 'The Great,' Inspired By Life of Catherine The Great

fb.indiewire.com – Annette Bening has never been the most prolific of actresses. Whenever she's appeared in the last decade or so, she's tended to make a splash, but she's rarely made more than one film every couple of years, preferring, totally understandably, to focus instead on raising her children with Warren Beatty. 9 years 36 weeks ago via jetli
