Jean Claude Van Damme wrote The Expendables fansite ExpendablesPremiere.com to, pretty much, beg Sylvester Stallone to write him back into the franchise with The Expendables 4.

With “The Expendables 2” underperforming at the box office in the States despite significantly better critics reviews and an A- Cinemascore, the planned third film was in jeopardy of not happening.

Never underestimate horror films. They have a reliable group of fans who’ll rush out to the theaters as long as they deliver the scares. Most of them might not be good movies, but as long as the horror goods are there, the fans don’t care.

The pre-release buzz was there. Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis would have bigger roles. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris were added to the cast of existing action icons.
