Nicolas Cage Reveals His Voice Acting Process at ‘The Croods’ Q&A – Though Dreamworks’ “The Croods” is set four million years in the past, make no mistake that putting together the animated box office hit took a lot of effort using modern-day technology. Directors Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, star Nicolas Cage and Glen Ballard in the music department got together for a Q&A as part... 8 years 43 weeks ago via donnieyen

RT on DVD & Blu-Ray: This Is the End, The Croods, and More – This week on home video, we've got an irreverent end-of-the-world comedy, an animated prehistoric adventure, a serial killer thriller, and classic film anniversary. On the TV side, there's a popular period drama from the UK and a couple of 1980s classics. Then, of course, we've got a slew of other notable titles, including a beloved Disney film and a couple of films from WBs deep catalog.

Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Star Trek Into Darkness:’ Win and Loss

3:10 PM 5/19/2013 by Logan Falk
Star Trek Into Darkness
As one might expect, last week’s single release, one in a series of long-anticipated, high-budget summer releases—Star Trek Into Darkness—made it to the top of the box office charts on its opening weekend. It did not, however, quite live up to its high expectations for its opening-weekend revenues.

Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Iron Man 3’ Dominates

10:14 PM 5/5/2013 by Logan Falk
Iron Man 3
Well, it’s fair to say that this weekend has been very kind to last week’s solitary new release, the long-awaited Iron Man 3. We all knew it would make a whole bunch of money on its opening weekend—the only question left was just how much.

Weekend Box Office Report: 'Pain and Gain' Earns Big, 'The Big Wedding' Gets More Pain than Gain

2:31 PM 4/28/2013 by Logan Falk
Pain and Gain
Despite a bleak critical reception for last week’s new releases, both of the new films made a decent showing for themselves in the box office, if not fantastic (or even consistent with their predicted weekend revenues). Pain and Gain made its way to the top spot this weekend, earning $20 million.

Weekend Box Office Report: 'Oblivion:' One Release, One Top Spot

4:20 PM 4/21/2013 by Logan Falk
The weekend was very kind to last week’s one and only new release, Oblivion. Otherwise, the charts have remained more or less static since last weekend. Oblivion did quite well in the box office, making over $38.1 million; while this is at the bottom end of its predicted range for its opening weekend gross, it’s still a respectable sum, and the film can probably expect similarly impressive numbers in later weeks.

Weekend Box Office Report: ’42’ Is Number 1

2:25 PM 4/14/2013 by Logan Falk
Both of last week’s new releases did very well in the box office this weekend—even despite the arguably vast disparity in quality between the two releases. Making the top of the charts is 42, which outdid its modest expectations (even for a heartwarming based-on-a-true-story yarn), earning revenues in the ballpark (ha) of $27.2 million on its opening weekend.

Weekend Box Office Report: New Releases 'Jurassic Park 3D' and 'Evil Dead' Rule Box Office

3:04 PM 4/7/2013 by Logan Falk
Evil Dead
Not only did this last week introduce abnormally well-received new releases, but these releases continued the streak with admirable box office numbers, as well.

Box Office Report: 'Evil Dead' Comes Alive With $30.5 Million; 'Jurassic Park' 3D Nabs $21.2 Million – "The Croods" becomes only the second film of 2013 to cross $300 million globally, while "G.I. Joe" races past $200 million worldwide. 9 years 25 weeks ago via jackiechan

Box Office Report: 'Evil Dead' Tops Friday, Eyeing Strong $27 Million Weekend – Steven Spielberg's 3D rerelease of "Jurassic Park" is also doing pleasing business for an anticipated fourth-place finish behind "The Croods" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation." 9 years 25 weeks ago via theothersenhman
