Robert Downey Jr. says there's no plan for another Iron Man movie. Smokescreen or is Marvel really planning to put one if its most iconic character in the background for the time being? We discuss that and more on this week's Download. Binh: Can't believe it's been 13 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center.

6 Spidey Things That Need To Be Fixed Before The Amazing Spider-Man 3 – It’s difficult to continue defending a film that you have enjoyed when the star of said movie admits the blockbuster has problems. I’ve been vocal of my support of the work director Marc Webb did on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and continues to do with his current Spider-Man saga. But following the pointed quotes of Peter Parker himself, Andrew Garfield, it’s hard not to acknowledge that Spider-Man’s cinematic universe has issues that need to be addressed before it continues. 8 years 2 weeks ago via jetli

Andrew Garfield Says Studio Cuts Damaged 'Amazing Spider-Man 2,' Alex Kurtzman Talks Venom – “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” – the second entry into the Andrew Garfield reboot of the early 2000s franchise – didn’t swing to great heights this summer. Reviews were generally lukewarm at best, and box office returns were far lower than what Sony brass had hoped for. The film opened with $91.6M and managed to cobble together close to $203M domestic (of a $708M global total), which might not seem so bad, until you put it in perspective. 8 years 2 weeks ago via brucelee

Sony Teases "Sinister Six" With DVD Promo – Sony Pictures has released a new promo clip for the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in retail stores on August 19th. Even though the studio's proposed "Sinister Six" spin-off film isn't out until November 2016, it's never too early to start hyping and they're trying to do so with this thirty-second tease which briefly includes teases of Norman Osborn's cryogenically preserved head, Doc Ock's tentacles and Vulture's wings. 8 years 6 weeks ago via jetli

The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is currently slated for release on June 10, 2016, but according to an Ain't It Cool News source, it has been pushed back to an undetermined date in 2017. If true, why is it happening? The writer didn't expound, but the precipitous drop of the domestic box office may have a lot to do with it. Beginning with the Sam Raimi era, the domestic box office for each of the Spider-Man movies have steadily declined even though the box office overseas remained relatively robust.

X-Men: Days of Future Past
It’s not uncommon for a particularly successful film to earn above and beyond its predicted earnings; it is rare, however, for a film to earn a full $30 million higher than it was predicted to. This weekend saw such a phenomenon, as moviegoers stormed the box office to see X-Men:

China Box Office: 'Spider-Man 2' Surges Past $80 Million, 'Coming Home' Opens Strong – Spidey continued his muscular performance in the world’s second largest film market, while Zhang Yimou’s epic drama notched up a respectable $13 million. 8 years 19 weeks ago via brucelee

Weekend Box Office Report: 'Godzilla' Tramples its Way to the Top

7:24 PM 5/18/2014 by Logan Falk
It seems the world was definitely ready for a Godzilla reboot, as the monster’s presence in the box office was nearly as big as that on-screen. All half-clever word play aside, its revenues were enormous: there was very little contest as to which release, new or old, would take the lion’s share of box office earnings.

Mania Box Office Report: Spidey Falls?! – It is usually a foregone conclusion that the first big summer movie takes the first and second weekend. However, this year this wasn’t the case. Marc Webb’s follow up to the Amazing Spider-Man has fallen to the Zach Efron and Seth Rogan comedy Neighbors. If you look at the numbers alone, in ratio from budget to weekend take... 8 years 20 weeks ago via jetli
