Sylvester Stallone News

Sylvester Stallone reveals at Comic-Con that he has teams scouting in Iraq and Syria where ISIS has their 'greatest strongholds' for 'Rambo 5'.

Creed Trailer: This Is How You Pass a Franchise Torch Yep, it’s another Rocky sequel. How many of you didn’t know or forgot until Sylvester Stallone pops up near the end of this trailer? I think this might be the longest-running non-rebooted ongoing fiction franchise at this time — in years, that is, not installments. This is only the sixth sequel to the Best Picture-winning original, which was released nearly 40 years ago. Maybe George Romero’s Living Dead movies top it, if he makes more. And if we included nonfiction, then the Up series wins.

Could it be Last Blood for Sylvester Stallone's next Rambo? Last month Sylvester Stallone confirmed that he was starting to get back in shape for his reprisal of action favorite John Rambo. Ever since Stallone's unflinchingly violent return to form in RAMBO, there's been a slew of plot lines rumored for the next film. New in Theaters: ‘The Expendables 3,’ ‘The Giver,’ ‘Let’s Be Cops’

The Giver
This weekend brings an interesting mix of new releases to theaters—we have some tongue-in-cheek mindless action, some young-adult dystopian literature-turned-film, and a risqué buddy cop comedy (sort of). The good news: a wide spectrum of genres that would normally attract lots of moviegoers. The bad news: not one of the new releases is getting good reviews, which may scare any moviegoers away.

Review: 'The Expendables 3' is the Most Brainless Fun of the Series The Expendables 3 is so adorable you'd want to pinch its little cheeks if the average age of the crew weren't higher than 50. Once again lead by Sylvester Stallone's Barney Ross it's a new mission, a new team, and a new attitude, or so the tagline for this latest film implies. That new attitude must have something to do with entertainment, since The Expendables 3, for its been-there-done-that narrative and paint-by-numbers action set-pieces, ends up as the most enjoyable.
