Creed 2 Synopsis & Cast Confirmed as Filming Officially Begins Filming on Creed II is officially underway, and now the story and cast for the sequel have been confirmed. Sylvester Stallone tried to call it a day for the Rocky series with Rocky V in 1990, a sequel that was famously met with derision upon release. It took 16 years for Stallone to redeem the character with Rocky Balboa, where a long-retired Rocky is tempted back into ring to prove to himself he still has what it takes.

Creed 2 finds Ivan Drago's son in Florian Munteanu Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) faced a massive opponent both physically and metaphorically in Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) in ROCKY IV, so it’s befitting Michael B. Sylvester Stallone Says He’s Out Of The Rambo Business In an extended interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor/writer/director Sylvester Stallone claims he is done making movies as Vietnam vet John Rambo. As pointed out by Slashfilm, Stallone said, “The heart’s willing, but the body says, ‘Stay home!'” Though he’s flirted with a fifth Rambo film over the years — at one point the plot saw Rambo fight “feral beasts” — he stepped back from the idea, saying “It’s like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered.

Creed 2 In The Works As Stallone Considers Possible Film Ideas Variety reports that a sequel to Rocky spin-off Creed is a certainty. MGM CEO Gary Barber told the site, “There’s no doubt that we’re making a Creed 2.” Of course, between that declaration and the film’s eventual release are many steps, including securing director Ryan Coogler, currently in talks to direct Marvel‘s Black Panther.

Jordan, Sylvester Stallone (mounting his own comeback of sorts) and the scene-stealing Tessa Thompson, and Ryan Coogler proving himself as a more-than-competent director with his first blockbuster film.
