Game of Thrones Swordsman Joins the Cast of Star Wars: Episode VII – The BBC brings word that former "Game of Thrones" actor Miltos Yerolemou, who played the role of swordsman Syrio Forel in the series, has joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. New Star Wars Rebels Short: ‘Not What You Think’ Featuring Ezra Bridger September is here, which means next month your first look at the new Star Wars universe arrives. Star Wars Rebels premieres on Disney Channel October 3 before assuming its regular slot October 13 on Disney XD. Yes, the show – which is set between Episodes III and IV – is mostly aimed at kids, but it also sets up a lot of what we can expect from Star Wars in the days, months and years ahead. What I mean is, Rebels – and likely the upcoming movies – are going to explore tangents fans may have thought about, but never got to see.

Star Wars: A New Dawn Review While there’s a clear attempt to emulate the subtitle to the original Star Wars film, A New Hope, with the new book, Star Wars: A New Dawn, there’s a lot of reasons that title fits. Not just storywise – though it does tie into the themes of the book – but also because A New Dawn marks the start of a big new direction for Star Wars. With Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm, and work underway on multiple new Star Wars movies, the decision was made to officially decree that the previous novels and other stories that fell under the “expanded universe” heading were not part of canon.

Even before Harrison Ford accidentally shut down production on Star Wars: Episode VII by getting his leg crushed on the Millennium Falcon, speculation ran rampant regarding director J.J. Abrams' rumored reluctance to meet or agree to Disney's demands for a December 2015 release date. Once Ford was laid up for weeks, many wondered whether the studio might be forced to bump the highly anticipated follow-up to 1983's Return of the Jedi.
