This weekend looks like it’s bringing back the onslaught of big-budget summer releases with a veritable hurricane of CGI action. Unfortunately, if critics are to be believed, the trend of quality new releases looks like it will be on continued hiatus.

A New Breed of Decepticons Attack in 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' Clip Just mere hours before Transformers: Age of Extinction rolls into theaters for sneak preview and midnight screenings, star Stanley Tucci appeared on Good Morning America today, where he showed off the latest clip from director Michael Bay's action-thriller. The actor plays Joshua Joyce, who teams up with Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and his daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) during an all-out attack in the city. However, Joshua doesn't approve of their "hiding place".

We know the new Transformers movie "reboots" (but not really) the robo-riffic franchise with a new human cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, and Stanley Tucci, but nobody goes to see these movies for the human beings on display -- they just want to know what the robots are up to, and director Michael Bay has just given us a decent-sized look at the metallic carnage we can expect in Transformers:

It's going to be awhile before the Transformers franchise reboots itself with Age of Extinction, but like a kid with a brand-new toy, Michael Bay is already busy revealing glimpses of what fans can expect when Mark Wahlberg takes the screen as part of a newly revamped human cast next year.
