Sam Claflin Returning for ‘The Huntsman’, Without Snow White Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White may not be returning for The Huntsman, but it seems like everyone else is. Sam Claflin is the latest to board the fantasy spinoff, joining Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, and Nick Frost. Get all the latest updates on The Huntsman after the jump.  The Sam Claflin The Huntsman casting was reported by TheWrap. Claflin starred in the first film as William, Snow White’s childhood friend. He basically fills the prince role from the classic Snow White fairy tale.

'The Huntsman' Adds Rob Brydon & Two Female Dwarves This Time The cast of The Huntsman, the prequel to the 2012 fantasy Snow White and the Huntsman, already has a solid cast. Chris Hemsworth is reprising his title role, with Charlize Theron back as Ravenna and newcomers Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain coming aboard. And while all the dwarves from the first film aren't back, Nick Frost is at least back as Nion. Now some more dwarves are entering the mix as THR reports The Trip star Rob Brydon, Quartet actress Sheridan Smith and The Iron Lady supporting star Alexandra Roach have all taken roles as the gruff ensemble of dwarves this time.

Jessica Chastain Gives You a Bonus Reason to See the Snow White and the Huntsman Sequel Universal Pictures Universal is doing a pretty good job of making its Snow White and the Huntsman sequel/spinoff/prequel sound appealing. First, of course, they got rid of Kristen Stewart – that’s now Cesar Award-winning Kristen Stewart, who isn’t bad in the first movie but is still unfortunately a deterrent for many moviegoers. And they kept Marvel’s Chris Hemsworth, titled the thing to his character as The Huntsman and added current favorite action heroine Emily Blunt as a Frozen-ish Snow Queen character.

‘The Huntsman’ Will Only Have Two Dwarves Snow White (Kristen Stewart) will be sitting out Universal’s The Huntsman, and now it looks like most of her dwarf friends will be, too. Only two of the seven dwarves are expected to appear, according to a new report. Still set to return are the evil queen (Charlize Theron), and of course the Huntsman himself (Chris Hemsworth). Cedric Nicolas-Troyan is directing.

Frank Darabont exits The Huntsman; Emily Blunt in talks to play villain It's being reported that director Frank Darabont has left Universal's planned SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN prequel/spin-off THE HUNTSMAN due to creative differences. It's not clear if the studio will still use Darabont's draft of the script for the project, or if Universal will hire someone else to rewrite it. 'The Huntsman' Targets Emily Blunt as the Villain The loss of its director is certainly not slowing down the prequel The Huntsman. A follow up to the 2012 fairy tale adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, this next chapter is lining up Emily Blunt to star as the main villain. While yesterday's report claimed that Charlize Theron was expected to reprise her role as the evil Ravenna, that may no longer be the case.Frank Darabont left the project earlier in the week, with both the director and Universal Pictures citing 'creative differences'. It is believed that the studio already has a replacement directed waiting in the wings.
