With the Sinister sequel slated to start next week, it's about time for Focus Features to start coughing up details regarding the storyline and who's going to star -- which they've just done, announcing that Shannyn Sossamon has signed on to do a whole bunch of screaming as the mother of 9-year-old twins who unwittingly moves her brood into (whoops!) Sossamon will be joined by James Ransone, who Sinister fans may remember from the first installment as a well-meaning police officer; he'll return to reprise his role.

'Sinister' Will Scare You Again As Sequel Brews

fb.indiewire.com – You gotta hand it to producer Jason Blum; he knows how to spend a little and make a lot. Between the "Paranormal Activity" franchise, "Insidious" and "Sinister" he's proven he can take a million bucks or so and make that back dozens of times over. And while the found footage movie is now a bonafide franchise, the latter two films are going down that path too. 6 years 16 weeks ago via brucelee
