Fox to release "Rogue Cut" of X-Men: Days of Future Past next summer In July we learned an extended version of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST was in the works, and yesterday at a press event, writer/producer Simon Kinberg announced it will be released in the first half of 2015. 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Starts to Take Shape

We still have about a year and a half standing between us and the next X-Men sequel, 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse, but putting a big-budget superhero movie together takes time, so Fox is starting to get its ducks in a row right now -- starting with locking down director Bryan Singer, who helmed this year's Days of Future Past, to return for another round.

Director Josh Trank has more or less earned our trust, but there's really no getting around the fact that the Fantastic Four film franchise has been mostly underwhelming thus far -- something owing at least as much to the inherent squareness of the comics as it has to the overall miscasting and periodically inept filmmaking that marred the first two films.

Simon Kinberg says Ridley Scott's next film will be The Martian – Simon Kinberg has confirmed that Ridley Scott's next directorial project will be The Martian, with Matt Damon set to star in the forthcoming film. Kinberg is a producer on the project, and was the man who first brought Andy Weir's ebook to the attention of original director, Drew Goddard.
