Fading Gigolo
Fading Gigolo, a drama directed by and starring John Turturro, will be playing at the Toronto Film Festival next month. Check out the trailer below. In the movie, Turturro plays Fioravante, a florist who is convinced by his friend Murray (Woody Allen) to become a gigolo for some extra money. As expected of comedies like this, the clients, which includes Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara, will be some of the most interesting people will see in the movie.

Fame isn’t free and the toll it takes is a subject entirely elided by Lovelace, a biopic about America’s first (and perhaps only) porn super star, Linda Lovelace. In the early 70s she became a household name by starring in Deep Throat, which unlike most porn films developed a mainstream reputation, eventually luring audiences so famous their patronage was newsworthy; paparazzi caught Jackie O buying her ticket concealed with a scarf.

Lovelace
You've really got to work to make a biopic about the star of Deep Throat that feels in no way titillating, but let's give directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman a round of applause, because that seems to be exactly what they've created with Lovelace -- at least based on the evidence of the movie's first full-length trailer.

Woody Allen & Sofia Vergara Join John Turturro's 'Fading Gigolo' With Sharon Stone

fb.indiewire.com – Aside from only a small role in "Hannah & Her Sisters," it's actually a bit surprising that John Turturro never starred in a Woody Allen movie. He seems like the perfect, neurotic Allen surrogate but alas it has never come to pass. The pair also crossed paths nearly 15 years later in the little seen comedy "Company Men," where Allen had a cameo role. 2 years 37 weeks ago via brucelee

Vintage Style 'Deep Throat' Poster With Amanda Seyfried Plus 2 New Images From 'Lovelace'

fb.indiewire.com – Usually, it's only big budget blockbusters that court the press while the cameras are rolling on their films as part of a carefully scaled marketing campaign, but rarely does that extend to indies, mostly because the budgets and time simply don't allow for it. 2 years 40 weeks ago via jetli
