Silver and Pigozzi were on a panel for the Television Critics Association this week, and after the panel Silver spoke briefly about some of his gestating film franchises.

We've eyed Warner Bros.' plans to adapt Stephen King's The Stand with plenty of suspicion -- one of King's heftier tomes, it's arguably also one of the least likely to benefit from Hollywood's "slash and streamline" approach, and would seemingly be far better served by the sort of film franchise/TV series hybrid that's reportedly being mulled for an adaptation of King's Dark Tower series.
