Sandra Bullock News
It’s not a huge surprise that the Minions, those Twinkie-colored, pill-shaped henchmen from the “Despicable Me” franchise (that spans several movies, a half-dozen short films, videogames, and a 3D theme park attraction) would eventually wind up with a film all to themselves. They’re iconic, walking that fine line between cute and utterly obnoxious, and highly marketable. They were also the most interesting thing about the “Despicable Me” movies, with their mysterious origins and genderless ambiguity (they do have a proclivity to cross-dress).

We catch up with our three hapless heroes in 1968 as they’ve arrived in America and are trying to hitch a ride to Orlando.
While we originally met the Minions working under Steve Carell's Gru in Despicable Me, their first boss was actually an evil woman by the name of Scarlet Overkill. USA Today has the first two images of this wicked wench, as portrayed by Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock. Take a look below.Minions takes us back to the very beginning of existence for these henchmen.
