MGM's Poltergeist remake is moving forward with Monster House's Gil Kenan at the helm, Deadline has learned. He will direct from a script last touched by Rise of the Guardians screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire. Sam Raimi is producing the movie along with Roy Lee, Nathan Kahane, and Robert Tapert.

Evil Dead – Although a lot of people have warmed up to the EVIL DEAD remake since the film was first announced, I still think that I'd be just as excited if it was an original horror movie without the EVIL DEAD connection.
