Rosamund Pike Joining Charlie Hunnam in 'Mountains Between Us' With Gone Girl making a big splash at the box office and having some staying power over the past month and a half, it's time for Rosamund Pike to lock down her next project. Variety reports the star of Jack Reacher and The World's End is now in early talks to star in The Mountain Between Us, an adaptation of Charles Martin's book of the same name name set up at Fox 2000 & Chernin Entertainment.

Spring was a hit at Fantastic Fest, winning an acting award for Lou Taylor Pucci. After festival screenings, Drafthouse Films announced it would distribute the film next year. The film stars Pucci as a man traveling in Italy who falls in love with a local girl (Nadia Hilker), who keeps her transformations hidden from him.

The Hive, the first feature film from Dave Yarovesky, premiered at Fantastic Fest. To help bring some attention to the film, Yarovesky’s filmmaker friend James Gunn attended the premiere and led a Q&A with Yarovesky after the film. “It’s a blast,” Gunn said of the film. “It’s an amazing looking film and it’s probably the most horrifying love story I’ve ever seen.”

Michael Fassbender was attached to star back in March 2012, when Gerardo Naranjo was set to direct, but neither are involved in the adaptation at this time.The plot is based on the Charles Martin novel that follows Ashley, a writer leaving Salt Lake City for her wedding on the East Coast, and Ben, a doctor returning from a medical conference.

Watch: 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Footage Without Visual Effects Well, nine years later, the audience who enjoyed Sin City in 2005 just doesn't seem to be very interested in the sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, because the film bombed at the box office this past weekend. Personally, I didn't find the film to be terrible, but just more of the same coming far too late. But there are still some cool visuals to be seen (especially Eva Green), and having a movie with pretty much all the environments created in post-production is pretty impressive.
