'Into the Woods' Debuts Anna Kendrick's Cinderella Song Director Rob Marshall, known for his Best Picture winner Chicago, returns to the musical genre this Christmas with Disney's Into the Woods. Based on the Stephen Sondheim Broadway production of the same name, this fairy tale will obviously feature numerous musical numbers, one of which being "On the Steps of the Palace," sung by Anna Kendrick's Cinderella.
