Zootopia
Let’s see how many reviews it’ll take to finally bring down the perfect 100% score that Disney Animation’s “Zootopia” is getting on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s at 93 reviews so far. Amazing. The consensus on the reviews aggregator reads, “The brilliantly well-rounded ‘Zootopia’ offers a thoughtful, inclusive message that's as rich and timely as its sumptuously state-of-the-art animation -- all while remaining fast and funny enough to keep younger viewers entertained.”

"The Transporter Refueled" Still Running Low on Rotten Tomatoes

Ed Skrein in "The Transporter Refueled"
Critics, who were divided on “The Transporter” franchise, are united on their reviews of the reboot. The gauge on Rotten Tomatoes for “The Transporter Refueled” is at a near-empty 16%. The consensus on the reviews site reads, “The Transporter Refueled has little to offer beyond a handful of decent action sequences, leaving this reboot's title feeling more like wishful thinking than a restatement of purpose.”

"The Transporter Refueled" Review: Ed Skrein is solid; so is the film (until the silly climax)

The Transporter Refueled
I wasn’t expecting much from “The Transporter Refueled.” What’s a “Transporter” movie without Jason Statham? Not much, I thought. I was biased because I like Statham in those films. Although after three of them, I wasn’t asking for another one, but still, if he cranks out more of them, I wouldn’t mind watching. Apparently, “The Transporter Refueled” is a reboot.

"No Escape" Review: Tense, Action-packed, and Thrilling

No Escape
The last thriller from Owen Wilson that I could remember is “Behind Enemy Lines,” an action thriller from 2001 that I liked. Compared to that, “No Escape” is just as tense, but more dramatic because of the family element. “No Escape” doesn’t waste any time setting up the premise. Once Wilson’s character Jack Dwyer and his family -- wife and two girls -- lands in Thailand, the film gets rolling.

"The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Review: Beautifully Filmed, Great Music, Distracting Accents

Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."
I went into “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” expecting to be thrilled, entertained, and charmed by beautiful people chasing each other around the globe in a game of cat-and-mouse like the recent “Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation” -- except with bland male leads (Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer). At least, that’s what I got from the trailer.

"Fantastic Four" Review: Good Until Third Act

Fantastic Four
I tend to skip reading reviews for films that I’m going to see, but I couldn’t help myself with “Fantastic Four.” I read both of the negative reviews from Hollywood Reporter and Variety. I also read on HitFix how Miles Teller, the star of the film, was expecting it to tank on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Fantastic Four" Debuts on Rotten Tomatoes with 12%

Fantastic Four
Apparently, no one told the critics that there’s a review embargo on “Fantastic Four” until it opens this Friday. On Rotten Tomatoes, over twenty critics have ignored the embargo so far. And the early word is terrible. At 12% -- and it’s still early -- it’s even worse than the poorly received originals.

"Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" First Impression

Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation"
Like I mentioned yesterday on Wopular.com, I went to a promotional screening of “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation” last night. Like what the early reviews have indicated, it’s very good.

"Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" Early Reviews: 97% on Rotten Tomatoes

Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation"
Wow. Just when I thought the franchise couldn’t get any higher than the 93% score that the Brad Bird directed “Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol” received on Rotten Tomatoes, the soon-to-be-released fifth outing is sitting on 97%. It’s still early, and there are only 30 reviews so far. Nonetheless, “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation” is off to a fantastic start. Directing Tom Cruise this time around is Christopher McQuarrie, a screenwriter who has collaborated with the action star in “Edge of Tomorrow,” “Jack Reacher,” and “Valkyrie.”
