The Counselor
This weekend, a beloved—albeit raunchy and low-brow—franchise returns to the big screen after three years, and with a famous author teams up with a famous director to mix up the new releases with a film that’s more on the dramatic side of things.

Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz in "The Counselor"
When I was prognosticating the score for “The Counselor” on Rotten Tomatoes a couple days ago, I was thinking it would score well, especially with the talents involved; it’s directed by Ridley Scott, written by Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy, and stars Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, and Brad Pitt.

The Counselor
I went to a screening of Ridley Scott’s “The Counselor” last night. For the first time in an evening screening, it’s press only. I wondered why. Cameron Diaz Has Sex With A Car In New Pics From 'The Counselor' Plus Behind-The-Scenes Featurette

fb.indiewire.com – Can Ridley Scott's "The Counselor" finally usurp Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" from the top of the box office this weekend? A batch of new photos from the Cormac McCarthy-penned thriller have dropped online, but perhaps the most crucial (via IGN) is Diaz grinding up on car with Bardem watching in hilarious horror. 4 years 4 weeks ago via jackiechan

New Teaser Trailer for Ridley Scott's THE COUNSELOR Starring Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem

collider.com – Another teaser trailer for director Ridley Scott’s upcoming film The Counselor has landed online. The script by Cormac McCarthy (author of The Road and No Country for Old Men) centers on an attorney (Michael Fassbender) who teams with Reiner (Javier Bardem) to sell $20 million worth of cocaine. Like the initial teaser, this one highlights the tension that promises to be abundant in the star-studded pic, and while Scott’s recent output has been hit or miss, I’m really looking forward to seeing how McCarthy’s first screenplay stacks up.
