Weekend Box Office Report: New Releases Get Served By ‘The Butler’

Of the four new releases duking it out over the lion’s share of the weekend revenues—a sequel to a successful graphic novel-turned-movie, a biography of a digital age icon, a drama about murderous billionaires, and a political drama based on historical fact—few would’ve expected the political drama to top the box office charts.

We've another very full weekend ahead of us--once again, four new releases are crowding their way into theaters this weekend. However, instead of staggering releases from Wednesday onward (as was the case last week), everything's opening today, which will make for some mean competition at the box office.
