First Footage from Darren Aronofsky's NOAH – At long last, the first footage from director Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic Noah has landed online. The film is, of course, an adaptation of the Bible’s Great Flood story, but with an Aronofsky twist. Production on this one began back in 2011 and Aronofsky has been busy with a heavy amount of visual effects in the meantime, including creating all of the animals with CGI.

Religiously themed dramas tend to be the near-exclusive domain of Walden Media and Kirk Cameron, but that will change with Darren Aronofsky's Noah -- if, that is, he and Paramount Pictures can come to an agreement over what exactly the darn thing is going to look like when it arrives in theaters.
