Denzel Washington Circling Nightcrawler Director’s Next Film In 2014, writer/director Dan Gilroy gained a lot of attention for his drama Nightcrawler, which told the story of aspiring crime journalist Lou Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) and the immoral lengths he would go to to make a name (and money) for himself. The film received a plethora of accolades, including a Best Original Screenplay Oscar nomination for Gilroy.

It was that opening which played a big part in the Michael Bay produced reboot topping the overseas chart this weekend with a haul of $34.7 million, though China contributed a whopping $26.5 million of that. ‘Jingle All the Way 2′ Dresses Up as a Real Movie for Halloween I know, it’s too early to start throwing Christmas movies at you. But this only looks like a Christmas movie. In fact, I believe this trailer for Jingle All the Way 2, starring Larry the Cable Guy, is actually a bunch of footage dressed up as a real movie for Halloween. Sadly, Larry does not play the character originated by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1996 movie. That might be a pretty good trick. He’s just another dad trying to get a great gift for his kid.
