It wasn’t a joke when the press asked the San Francisco Film Society’s new Executive Director how long he plans to stay with us. Warmly, Noah Cowan, responded, “I look forward to many, many, years here.” Cowan comes to us after our last Executive Director, Indie Film mogul Ted Hope, left the Film Society after hardly a year on the job.


Eisenberg, Fanning Make "Night Moves" – Jesse Eisenberg and Dakota Fanning are in talks to star in Kelly Reichardt's indie thriller "Night Moves" reports Variety. The story follows three eco-terrorists who plot to blow up a dam. Eisenberg is the ringleader, Fanning is the wealthy young girl who funds the plan, and Peter Sarsgaard is already set as the mastermind behind the bomb.

Paul Dano Reteams With Kelly Reichardt For Eco-Terrorist Film 'Night Moves' – With her last effort, the uncompromising western "Meek's Cutoff," the growing cachet of indie filmmaker Kelly Reichardt allowed the director to cast some bigger names than she had worked with in the past, nabbing Bruce Greenwood, Zoe Kazan and Paul Dano to pad out the ensemble. And the experience seems to have been a positive one for Paul Dano, as The Playlist has learned the actor is reteaming with Reichardt for the director's next effort, the eco-terrorist film "Night Moves."
