Michael Keaton is set to star in CBS Films and Lionsgate’s adaptation of Vince Flynn’s best-selling novel series “American Assassin,” TheWrap has learned. The thriller will be directed by Michael Cuesta from a screenplay by Stephen Schiff. Producers of the project are Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Nick Wechsler. The film will be based on Flynn’s best-selling thriller novels featuring Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Keaton).

The Counselor
Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott and Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men) have joined forces in the motion picture thriller THE COUNSELOR, starring Michael Fassbender, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, and Brad Pitt. McCarthy, making his screenwriting debut and Scott interweave the author's characteristic wit and dark humor with a nightmarish scenario, in which a respected lawyer's one-time dalliance with an illegal business deal spirals out of control.
Magic Mike
Set in the world of male strippers, "Magic Mike" is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Channing Tatum ("Dear John," "Step Up") in a story inspired by his real life. The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.
