Neither of this weekend’s new releases took the top spot on the charts, which isn’t entirely surprising, given that most critics were disappointed with the quality of the films. Instead, last week’s new releases took the opportunity to enjoy a second weekend atop the charts.

This weekend is, unfortunately, a return to the standard of two mediocre films a week that started to emerge around a month or so ago. Still, it does make for easy writing for a certain columnist, so let’s get to it, shall we?
