The adaption of the Valiant comic Bloodshot has gained a new cast member. First reported by The Wrap and confirmed by Variety Toby Kebbell has joined the movie in an unknown role. Vin Diesel, Eiza Gonzalez, Michael Sheen, Sam Heughan, Talulah Riley, and Alex Hernandez have all signed on to star in the Sony Pictures adaptation. Dave Wilson is set to direct and Neal H. Moritz has signed on to produce. “Bloodshot,” first published in 1992, centers on a mortally wounded soldier with powers of regeneration and meta-morphing made possible through nano-machines in his bloodstream.

Because it's been nearly a decade since the last cheapo direct-to-video I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel -- and because America just can't get enough of nubile young things in white tank tops being pursued by homicidal maniacs -- Sony has apparently hit the reboot button on the formerly Jennifer Love Hewitt-led franchise, snaring the creative team behind this year's horror hit Oculus to re-adapt the 1973 Lois Duncan book that started it all.
