This time the IMF, which is now being dissolved by the CIA, is being hunted down by a group known as The Syndicate. And now the full theatrical trailer has arrived giving us much more of the problem that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team have to deal with this time. After being a little hesitant yesterday, I think I'm officially excited to see this one.

The fifth Tom Cruise headlined Mission: Impossible movie – a project that reunited Cruise with his Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie – is racing to the finish line faster than originally expected, following its release date having been bumped up by five months.

Last we heard, Christopher McQuarrie was retooling the ending of Mission: Impossible 5, resulting in a bit of a delay. According to the director, that’s not really accurate. McQuarrie took to Twitter for a spontaneous Q&A, fielding questions from fans of the series. The director addressed that issue with the ending, which characters won’t be back (and which ones get more screen time) and when we can expect the film’s official title and trailer. 'Mission: Impossible 5' Resumes Shooting; Photos Revealed Yesterday, it was widely reported that production had halted on the set of Mission: Impossible 5 so that the big climactic finale could be reworked. It seems that report, which generated at The Hollywood Reporter, was a little late in its arrival. Entertainment Weekly has confirmed today that, while shooting did stop, it was just over the course of this past week, and everything was back up and running last night.In fact, a number of photos have come in from the set, as Tom Cruise filmed a late night action sequence as Ethan Hunt, running through the streets of London.

Of Course 'Mission: Impossible 5' is Getting an IMAX Release in July Briefly: Last month brought surprising news that Paramount Pictures bumped up the release of Mission: Impossible 5 by five months. The film was originally supposed to arrive on Christmas Day, but has now been set for release on July 31st. And now the studio has just announced the film will unsurprisingly get an IMAX release on the same day it hits traditional theaters.
