Avi Arad And Matt Tolmach Describe Spider-Man Spin-Off SINISTER SIX As A "Redemption" Story

comicbookmovie.com – Maybe it's just me, but when it was revealed that Sony were working on a Sinister Six movie, I envisioned it as an event picture like The Avengers where they would all team-up to take out Spider-Man. Perhaps the unique draw would be that the movie would take place from their perspective (making Spidey the "villain" so to speak"), and while that could still happen, it atcually sounds as if producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach have something far more unusual in mind!

Nobody outside the Sony boardroom thought the Spider-Man franchise really needed a reboot so soon after it started, but director Marc Webb made the most of the situation with The Amazing Spider-Man -- even if the movie itself was sort of pointless, it told Spidey's origin story (yet again) with a reasonable amount of panache, and with a terrific cast besides.

Amazing Spider-Man 2
The reviews may have been a shade less than spectacular, but Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man raked in more than enough box office cash to justify a sequel -- and now that the follow-up has started production, Webb is wasting no time offering glimpses of the set in action.
