Given that Kate Beckinsale has already starred in four Underworld movies -- and that the series seemed to be moving on without her for next year's Beckinsale-free Underworld: Next Generation, starring Theo James -- it seemed somewhat safe to assume that she'd wedged herself into that black bodysuit for the final time.

Len Wiseman has dropped out of Universal's Mummy reboot, Variety has learned. Scheduling conflict with his Fox TV series Sleepy Hollow is cited as the cause.

Vulture has discovered that Jon Spaihts is not the only writer working on the screenplay for Universal's Mummy reboot. The Hunger Games writer Billy Ray is too. The kicker is that they're both working on separate, but competing script for the same movie.
