'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Will Not Include Ronan, But He Might Return Someday Lee Pace recently expressed interest in reprising his villainous role of Ronan the Accuser in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2,’ which might not be very easy, given the events of the first film. And while anything is possible in the realm of superhero films, director James Gunn says Ronan will not be coming back for round 2—though he doesn’t rule out the possibility of Ronan’s revival at some point. In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, while Drax (played by Dave Bautista) is fighting Ronan (played by Lee Pace) on Knowhere there is anothere sequence taking place at the same time. It involved Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Peter Quill/Star-Lord (played by Chris Pratt) flying around in industrial space-pods battling Ronan's forces who are flying around in Necrocrafts. Speaking with HitFix about his new drama series Halt and Catch Fire, actor Lee Pace declared his role as Ronan the Accuser in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy the "craziest fucking thing" he's ever been a part of. "I'm really excited about this character," he said, after also mentioning how "wicked" the recent trailer looked. "I mean he's nuts. I mean I've never played anything like it and I've had such a good, it's one of those things where you don't know how to approach something like this.
