What do you do when you own the film rights to a beloved comic book character that you've previously abused as a supporting player in a much-maligned superhero origin story, but people still keep clamoring for him to get his own standalone feature even though you know it'll have to either be rated R or totally lame?

Well, this is interesting. Weeks after Joss Whedon reportedly confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Avengers 2 would feature the Marvel mutant siblings Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer has one-upped his competing franchise counterpart by announcing that Quicksilver will also be appearing in his movie -- which just happens to be arriving in theaters first.
